The European Film Festival
The European Film Festival (EUFF) is organised by The European Union Delegation to the UAE partnership with the Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi. It is part of a global initiative organised by the European Union in over 90 countries worldwide to promote European culture, diversity, and values through the big screen.
Debuting on 12 May 2024, the festival promises to showcase the richness and creativity of European filmmaking while fostering collaboration and sharing expertise with local film industry professionals and students. Through its carefully curated selection of films in collaboration with Cineuropa and EU Member States Embassies, Consulates and Cultural Institutes in the UAE, the European Film Festival offers UAE audiences a captivating journey and a unique cultural exchange through the international language of cinema.
The EUFF 2024 edition will include 10 films from: Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Slovenia, and Sweden.
The European Union Delegation to the United Arab Emirates
Established in 2013, the European Union Delegation to the United Arab Emirates serves as a vital diplomatic mission representing the EU’s interests in the region. As part of a global network of over 140 EU Delegations, the EU Delegation’s primary objective is to foster dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding between the EU and the UAE. Through its diverse range of functions, including representing the EU institutions in the UAE, promoting bilateral relations, and engaging with civil society, media, and international organizations, the Delegation strives to strengthen the partnership between the EU and the UAE while promoting shared values and interests. The Cultural Foundation
The Cultural Foundation is located in the heart of Abu Dhabi. It was built as the UAE’s and the region’s first dedicated cultural centre since it opened its doors to Abu Dhabi’s residents in 1981.
